Therapy

I work as an integrative counsellor, using a range of different approaches.

Integrative therapy is a combined approach that brings together different counselling psychotherapy theories, rather than being restricted to practising using a single approach. Integrative therapists take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.

From person centred counselling of listening to the client to allowing them the time and space offering the core conditions of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. To psychodynamic going back into exploring the past experiences and cognitive behavioural therapy gain strategies and techniques to help move forward. I also incorporate creative counselling and mindfulness.

I utilise my counselling skills within the therapeutic relationship providing a non-judgmental and flexible approach, setting out professional boundaries when contracting along with highlighting confidentiality and showing a genuine interest in you as the client to build an appropriate therapeutic relationship. I believe that you are the expert, I show a genuine interest, been non-judgmental and open to your views, values, and beliefs.
